For centuries, Christians have found that by wearing sterling silver crosses, they can seek solace in remembrance of Christian teachings. Traditionally, the four way medal has been given to children following their receipt of a sacrament. A child might get such a medal following his or her first time at the Communion “table.” Sometimes, infants receive a four way medal after they have been baptized.
